Four things decide whether a blanket sells twice

• The TOG comes from the build, not from a label. 0.5 TOG is a two-layer blanket — two faces bound together with nothing between them. 1.0, 1.5 and 2.5 TOG are quilted, with a layer of fiber fill between the faces. So warmth and construction are one decision, and a buyer specifying 2.5 TOG is specifying a quilted blanket. Give us the market and the season and the build follows from it.
• On the quilted builds, quilting spacing decides whether the fill stays where it was put. Fiber fill carries a maximum quilting distance, and it is not the same for 1.0 TOG as for 2.5 TOG. Space the lines wider than the fill allows and it migrates — the blanket goes lumpy, develops cold patches, and does it fastest after washing. Spacing is set from the fill weight on every style rather than carried over from the last one.
• The faces shrink at different rates, and on the quilted build there is a third layer with its own. A two-layer blanket pairs a printed face with a solid reverse; if the two differ in composition or in knit they move apart on wash — at ≤ 4%, that is up to 8cm across a 150 × 210cm blanket. Add a fill layer and there are three layers that have to agree. Everything is specified to the same shrinkage and checked after washing, not before.
• The bound edge is where a knit blanket fails. Rounding the corners and binding them on a stretch knit is the test: bind too tight and the edge ripples the whole way round, too loose and it flares. On bamboo jersey it is also the first place a wash shows. Edge tension is set so the corner lies flat off the machine, and re-checked on the washed sample.
• The repeat has to hold from a kids blanket to an adult one, and onto the pajamas. The same artwork runs on a 100 × 100cm and on a 150 × 210cm, and on the pajama it sits beside. A repeat set at the largest size reads as a fragment on the smallest. It is set on the smallest size first and then checked up the range.

Tanboocel® bamboo viscose is smooth at the fiber, breathable, and moves moisture away rather than holding it — which matters on a blanket in a way it does not on a garment, because a blanket is the layer a child cannot push off. It stays durable through the washing a baby blanket actually gets. Test figures on file: Anti-Pilling Grade 3.5+, Shrinkage ≤ 4% (Modal & Bamboo), Fastness Grade 4.

The claim with a document behind it is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, Product Class I — the baby class, the strictest in the system. Certificate numbers go out with the quote. Vertical integration from fiber to finished blanket, and digital active dyeing in-house, are what let a solid colorway be matched on a reorder rather than re-approximated — and what lets a printed face and its solid reverse be dyed and finished as one lot. For goods sold into the US, CPSIA is the framework that applies; ask for the test report alongside the certificate.
